- Beutelland features fantasy themes of basically Tolkinian flavour, mixed with some Pratchett for good measure. In any case it doesn't take itself too seriously. Ardent readers of fantasy & science fiction literature and computer gamers who grew up in the 80s and 90s will surely encounter many allusions to classic genre representatives - but there is also plenty of whimsical entertainment for younger guests to discover. The world - mythically created by the holy Beuteltier (zool. marsupial, opossum) - contains differing cuulture & climate zones like rolling hills, mountains, dark woods, viking islands, dense jungle, and even outer space. Players can choose a hometown/region of their liking. Eligible races up to now include Dwarfs, Humans, Hobbits, and Elves; NPCs will show up in whatever form our coders imagination can spawn. (Items too.) Beutelland offers many features, such as colorfulness, an integrated map system, extralogins to display information (map, chat, inventory, ...) in multiple telnet sessions, etc. Guilds and Trades are under construction, but we offer 25+ Quests of increasing difficulty, lots of interesting regions to explore, treasures to find, monsters to kill, and of course interesting people to meet. If you speak (any variant of) German and don't mind persisting Austriacisms, you will always be welcome in Beutelland! For further information, please have a look at our website.

- Das Beutelland ist eine Fantasy-Welt, nimmt dies (und sich selbst) aber nicht all zu ernst. Es l�sst sich grob als Mischung aus Tolkien und Pratchett beschreiben, mit zus�tzlichen Einfl�ssen aus Science Fiction und Computerspiel-Klassikern. Wer in den 80ern und 90ern aufgewachsen ist wird sicherlich viele Anspielungen auf diese Genres finden aber auch f�r j�ngere G�ste gibt es gen�gend skurril-unterhaltsames zu entdecken. Die Welt - mythisch vom heiligen Beuteltier erschaffen - bietet verschiedene Kultur- und Klimazonen, wie wogende H�gel, Gebirge, dunkle W�lder, Wikingerinseln, dichten Dschungel und sogar den Weltraum. Spieler k�nnen eine Heimatstadt w�hlen. Spielbare Rassen sind derzeit Zwerge, Menschen, Hobbits und Elfen; NPC erscheinen in jedweder Form die den Programmierern einf�llt. (Gegenst�nde ebenso.) Das Beutelland bietet jede Menge Features, wie z.B. Farben, ein eingebautes Kartensystem, Extralogins um verschiedene Informationen (Karten, Chat, Inventory, ...) in mehreren Telnet-Fenstern anzuzeigen, usw. Gilden und Berufe sind in Arbeit, aber wir bieten bereits �ber 25 Quests mit verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsgraden, viele interessante Regionen zu erforschen, Sch�tze zu finden, Monster zu t�ten und nat�rlich interessante Leute zu treffen.
